Pitbull
Biography
American rapper Armando Christian Pйrez, performing under the pseudonym Pitbull was born in 1981 in the state of Florida in the family of immigrants from the Island of Freedom. Parents of the future rapper, the native Cubans, raised their son loving music since the very childhood. Moreover, let us not forget the fact that Miami is well known for its atmosphere, which absorbed traditions and cultures of various nationalities. This is a bright city for bright people. However their lives are not so colorful all the times. Unfortunately that also touched Pitbull's parents: they split up, so since that moment the young performer was raised by his mother. At the age of sixteen Pitbull started selling drugs, and when his mother found out about that, she simply kicked him away, so he lost his home. The life was quite tough for a young man, but he did not lose optimism and desire to move forward.
Pitbull decided that he would make his way to the world of music, and pretty soon he got acquainted with the famous rapper Lil Jon. Thereby the debut of a young performer took place on the album Kings Of Crunk (2002), where his track Pitbulls Cuban Rideout got a notable place. The musician was noticed, so pretty soon he began working on his own long play. The studio attempt titled M.I.A.M.I. was released in 2004, and it must be mentioned that its name was not connected only with the musician’s native city. Money Is a Major Issue – that is the whole name of the record. Well, curiously enough, the eponymous track was entitled the most high-budget song in 2005. Luck? Talent? Probably both.
Two years later the musician’s discography was enlarged with the album El Mariel (2006), which presented to listeners such hits as Ay Chico (Lengua Afuera), Fuego and many others. No wonder that Pitbull’s fan base was constantly growing and that, in its turn, gave the performer even more confidence. In a year he issued another album The Boatlift (2007), which proved to be as interesting and strong as its predecessors. However the music lovers got an incredibly amazing surprise in 2009: the rapper’s long play Rebelution managed to peak at the very top of Billboard chart of rap albums. It is also interesting that Pitbull mixed in his creativity Latin rhythms, hip-hop beats, recitatives and singing. Altogether it sounds unusual and original. Probably that was the reason why listeners enjoyed the performer’s style so much.
Meanwhile Pitbull caught a good rhythm: he had plenty of ideas that he was eager to realize. Thus, he released the album Armando in 2010, which managed to appear on the second line of a chart, but this time – chart of the Latin music. Thereby the singer proved that he could create any music, in any style, he just needed an inspiration, that is it. The rapper’s fans always enjoyed getting acquainted with Pitbull’s new albums: everybody loves nice surprises, right? The rapper prepared his sixth studio long play, which was titled Planet Pit (2011). What is in there? Latin music, hip-hop or dance melodies? All the details are waiting on Planet Pit.
