Biography
Famous Australian musician and multiinstrumentalist Keith Urban who became extremely popular in Australia and USA was born in 1967 in New Zealand. At the age of six Urban started considering music as his future occupation and when Keith was seven years old he began studying various performance techniques. That learning proved to be successful and pretty soon Keith became the frequent participant of different musical contests.
By 1990 the singer signed the contract with EMI and a year after that he issued the debut album titled Keith Urban (1991). Initially that was released only in Australia, but in 2005 it was re-released and Urban’s fans all around the world could enjoy the performer’s very first studio attempt. Keith moved to Tennessee in 1992 and kept on improving his skills. A bit later he formed the band The Ranch and that trio issued the self-titled album The Ranch in 1997; however Urban disbanded the group in order to be able to concentrate on his solo career. That decision turned out to be successful indeed: album Keith Urban (1999) was certified Platinum and that fact was a great proof of music lovers’ interest in Keith’s creativity.
Three years later the singer’s discography was enlarged by a very strong album Golden Road (2002) that peaked at number 2 in Billboard Hot Country Albums and satisfied all the listeners’ expectations. Keith issued another wonderful long play Be Here in 2004 and that studio attempt became his first creation, which made all the way to the very top of American country chart. Two years later the artist pleased his fans with an album Love, Pain & The Whole Crazy Thing (2006) that also peaked at the very top of the chart in a very confident way. The musician wanted to keep on improving and his studio work Defying Gravity (2009) is a great proof of his success in that field.
Urban’s new album titled Get Closer saw the light in 2010 and its quality is just unquestionable: Keith managed to establish a reputation of an extremely talented artist.
