E2
Studio Album by Eros Ramazzotti released in 2007E2 review
The irresistable pleasant-voiced Italian
This Southern handsome man that fascinates audience with his pleasant vocals and aristocratic appearance has been on the scene for almost 25 years. Each of his albums is a revelation for both Eros' devoted fans and those who have just discovered his creativity for themselves. The last studio attempt by Ramazzotti, Calma Apparente, sold more than seven million copies. Taking into the consideration the singer's duets with such stars as Tina Turner and Anastacia, the artist's popularity in the USA is undeservedly humble, as he mostly sings in his native Italian, though recording his albums also in Spanish for Latino-American countries, where Ramazzotti's name is for sure familiar to anyone. No doubt, it is Italian language that makes his songs sound so sensitive and burning heat, that they conquered so many hearts in all parts of the world. This year Ramazzotti, who has also recommended himself as a brilliant producer, released a new work called E2. It is a double album - this fact is obvious from the title - which containes the rearranged maestro's hits and some brand new tracks. The presense of Eros' new creations, including the duet with the celebrated macho Ricky Martin is sure to bring extra satisfaction to the E2 consumers.
The old artist's hits got new life
E2 features four new songs. The album is opened by the brightest of these compositions, the fiery Latino-American Ramazzotti-Martin duet Non Siamo Soli that brings the imprinting of hot summer breath. Ci Parliamo Di Grandi, Dove Si Nascondono Gli Angeli and Il Tempo Tra Di Noi appeared to be wonderful romantic ballads, filled with passion and adore. As for the everlasting Ramazzotti's hits, Una Storia Importante, Terra Promessa and Odesso Tu, which helped him to win the San Remo Festival, they got their new life due to the contemporary arrangements. Odesso Tu should get the special notice as along with the other glorious singles like Musica E, Solo Ieri, and E Ancor Mi Chiedo, which were wonderfully arranged with the collaboration of the London Session Orchestra. E2 also features the collaboration by Ramazzotti with Tina Turner on Cose Della Vita (Can't Stop Thinking Of You), the passionate duet with Cher on Piu Che Puoi, as well as I Belong To You (Il Ritmo Della Passione), which was sang in Eglish with Anastacia, and a sparkling song Fuoco Con Fuoco, participated by the tireless Carlos Santana... Well, actually it is impossible to enumerate all numbers, one should just listen to the album!
Е2: the all-embracing work
Many artists issue compilations of hits in order to overview their musical career. But E2 is principally different from the majority of such works - firstly, by Ramazzotti's producing approach. He didn't merely release an impressing collection of his most successful and beloved all over the world singles - Eros breathed a new life in these songs with the help of contemporary arrangements and even put a remix on the disc. So, all the celebrated compositions of the Italian dandy are brilliantly adapted to our time instead of sounding like an echo of 80's and 90's of the previous century. Moreover, four new potential hits by Ramazzotti are undoubtedly prescribed for his devoted listeners to help them comfortly spend time waiting for the singer's new studio edition. Such touching care of the constant auditory is at least worth praizing. E2 became not just a collection of best songs in the career of the sweet-voiced Italian that would become a wonderful discs for getting acquainted with the Ramazzotti's musical activity - it would also help the artist's staunch listeners to get a clear view of how Eros' new work would sound.
