Bryan Adams
Biography
Bryan Adams was born in Canada, but he grew up in different European countries, as his father was a diplomat. The future rocker was fond of solitude and music in his youth. At the age of sixteen, he left the school and started playing in different bands, including Shock and Sweeney Todd. He also washed dishes and worked as a salesman in shops. He met drummer Jim Vallance in a record store of Vancouver – they got down to writing songs immediately. Their partnership lasted for many years and proved to be a fruitful thing – until they parted ways in 1989. In 1978, Adams signed to the A&M Records, which released his debut album Bryan Adams two years later. His second disc You Want It You Got It with the rock hit Lonely Nights was issued in 1981, but he made a forceful breakthrough into the world scene in 1983, with the Cuts Like A Knife work, featuring the eponymous single.
In 80s, Adams started contributing songs for other performers, also singing and writing tune for different films. His works are featured in the albums of Joe Cocker, Celine Dion, and various bands such as Loverboy and Kiss. For the current moment, Adams took part in the creation of soundtracks for forty-two pictures, including the political drama Bobby of 2006. He also stroke the public with the piercing ballad All For Love, which was recorded with Rod Steward and Sting for The Three Musketeers movie in 1993, and flamenco-flavored song Have You Ever Really Loved A Woman? from the18'til I Die album – this melody became the theme of the Don Juan DeMarco picture in 1996. Rare, though brilliant duets – for example, I Finally Found Someone with Barbra Streisand and It's Only Love with Tina Turner – also contributed to the singer's popularity. In 1991, the musician conquered the charts of the world with the fiery and memorable single (Everything I Do) I Do It For You from his disc Waking Up The Neighbours.
The compilation of the best songs So Far So Good was presented by the tuneful rock ballad Please Forgive Me in 1993. In 90s the artist toured extensively around the world, visiting even the developing countries. These tours were made for benefit actions – Adams does not only take an active part in such concerts, he also invites other stars to help him. Besides, Bryan is a well-known photographer. His exhibitions took place in many European capitals, big cities of the USA and Canada. His works decorated the pages of such magazines as Vogue, Vanity Fair and Harper's Bazaar. In 2004, he released the first for the six years studio full-length, featuring the original material - Room Service. It was followed by the Anthology collection that contained all the brightest compositions by Adams for the twenty-five years of his creative work. In the spring of 2008, the musician generated his studio attempt 11, presented by the romantic rock track I Thought I'd Seen Everything. Bryan’s collection of live albums was enlarged by the traditionally strong work titled Bare Bones (2010), which has definitely become an excellent present for all the artist’s fans: energy and atmosphere were presented in a full volume..
