TY.O
Studio Album by Taio Cruz released in 2011TY.O review
Taio Cruz’ confident start
The professional career of Taio Cruz began in 2008, when the musician presented to the audience his very first creation. And Cruz’ debut album Departure was his creation in the proper sense of the word indeed, as far as it was produced completely by Taio. The music and all arrangements had been written by himself as well, and who knows, maybe it was the reason why the general sound proved to be so balanced and harmonious. Of course, the record could not be ignored: it reached the Great Britain Top 20 chart, which proved the interest to Cruz’ creativity was quite high. Thereby, Taio’s compositions increased music lovers’ interest to his art, so his following studio attempt titled Rokstarr, which was released only a year later, immediately turned out to be in the very spotlight on both sides of the ocean. Cruz decided to experiment a little bit, thus on Rokstarr rhythm and blues and soul were accompanied by notes and elements of rock and indie rock. That kind of interesting mixture found its listeners, which was proved by high positions of the long play in various charts. All in all it took Taio two years to create a reputation of a talented musician with an outstanding intuition. He creates excellent songs, dealing with several styles and directions at the same time. With time Taio’s records slightly change the general sound, however they do not lose the easily recognizable features: the artist has the unique style, and it is impossible to argue with that. Now it is time to get acquainted with his brand new studio attempt titled TY.O. and to find out what surprises Cruz prepared to listeners.
TY.O. is the result of a team work
Well, Cruz’ debut album was created completely by himself, while the musician’s new record seems to be a result of a team work that consists of professionals only. Thus, such artists as Ludacris, David Guetta, Flo Rida and Pitbull took the great part in the creation of TY.O. Actually, all that collaboration stands for the fact that one can be sure in the quality of the presented material. And TY.O.’s very first composition, called Hungover will help to make sure of it. This one is just an amazingly energetic track, which have all the chances to become a hit of all the dance floors: rememberable lyrics and bright melody are quite the components of an ideal recipe, aren’t they? The following composition Troublemaker continues the theme of electronic vibrations with very atmospheric mid-tempo parts, which create a strong contrast with highly charged choruses. A fascinating rhythm is presented by the song Make It Last Forever. The latter one, by the way, is done in the key of electronic music, just like the major number of tracks on the long play. However various musical directions were integrated into it in a very successful way, so listeners will not be bored. But there is no doubt that this album will be really appreciated and enjoyed by those music lovers, who like dancing. TY.O. is created for the connoisseurs of rhythm!
Quality music
Taio Cruz still deals with the high level, which he established three years ago. Back then, Departure proved to be a loud event in the world of music, while the following long play Rokstarr also stood its grounds firmly enough. Well, the musician’s third studio attempt TY.O. did not bring any bad surprises: the album is created on the same awesome level. However nowadays the performer really enjoys experimenting with the sound, adding new elements to his compositions. As a rule, the intuition does not let Cruz down, and the result satisfies both the musician himself and his numerous fans. Eleven fresh tracks of TY.O. will not let get bored to even the most sophisticated listeners, as soon as the record lets choosing the song for the right mood really easily. Check out this great range indeed by yourself, from pushing Shotcaller to romantic You're Beautiful. Taio enlarged the discography by another amazing studio attempt. Well, the constancy is definitely a great feature.
