Biography

American country band Sugarland was formed in 2002 by Kristen Hall and Kristian Bush. Soon they were joined by Jennifer Nettles and the trio began working on their own fresh material. It is worth mentioning that the band’s members are experienced musicians, who had already played in various groups by that time, so there were no problems with the creation of material of high quality.

The debut studio work titled Twice The Speed Of Life saw the light in 2004 and it attracted listeners’ attention in practically no time. The lead single Baby Girl took the second place in Billboard’s Country Chart, which proved the highest level of Sugarland’s performance skills. Thus, the group managed to start a professional career in a very confident way and to find loving fans. Kristen Hall quitted the band in 2005, however the time showed that the duo could create as bright music and the trio did: Sugarland were nominated for the Grammy Award in the category Best New Artist, and during the ceremony they performed their composition Something More. Also in 2006 the group released the second long play Enjoy The Ride that turned out to be as interesting as its predecessor.

Release of the third studio attempt Love On The Inside took place in 2008. The record completely satisfied the listeners’ expectations, which was perfectly proved by its Double Platinum status. Due to such strong songs as All I Want To Do and Already Gone, the album managed to peak at the very top of Billboard 200 Chart. Moreover, musical critics noted the excellent choice of songs that perfectly matched each other. In 2009 the band issued their first live album, which title - Live On The Inside (2009) - was chosen to remind of its studio predecessor.

Sugarland’s discography was enlarged by their new album titled The Incredible Machine in 2010. The musicians slightly changed the stylistics, but the signature atmosphere and recognizable sound were presented in full volume. Sugarland decided not to limit themselves by some certain borders, and as the result they created a very strong and original album. There is no doubt that The Incredible Machine will be enjoyed not only by the band’ s old fans, but also by all the connoisseurs of high quality music.
