Sara Bareilles
Biography
American singer, songwriter and pianist Sara Bareilles was born in 1979 in California. Sara has been familiar with the music since her childhood: she participated in the school choir; later Bareilles was a member of the group called Awaken A Cappella. The singer won the famous annual festival UCLA Spring Sing twice, impressing both listeners and the jury by her wonderful vocals. Sara graduated from the college in 2002 and decided to start the professional musical career, and the first step was the participation in numerous local gigs.
Sara’s outstanding voice was noticed in practically no time, and pretty soon the singer got her first fans. Bareilles released the demo record The First One in 2003, which was followed by another demo The Summer Sessions (2004). The artist had been preparing new material for her debut studio work titled Careful Confessions that was issued in 2004. The record included such strong compositions as Gravity and Undertow, which helped to attract attention to Sara’s creativity.
The very first single Love Song from the album Little Voice (2007) turned out to be extremely successful and it peaked at the top of many charts, including Billboard's charts as well. Love Song was nominated for Grammy Award in 2009 and that fact proved the highest level of that song. The long play Little Voice was really enjoyed by numerous listeners and soon it was certified Gold. In 2008 Sara Bareilles made a wonderful present for all the live sound lovers: the singer released her first concert album titled Between The Lines: Sara Bareilles Live At The Fillmore, which managed to preserve the energy and atmosphere of Sara’s show.
Bareilles’ third studio attempt Kaleidoscope Heart saw the light in 2010. The long play’s quality is definitely unquestionable, because Sara has a reputation of incredibly talented performer and she won the hearts of listeners all around the world. Sara’s voice is accompanied by the delicate arrangements in a nice way, and there is no doubt that such musical cocktail will be interesting not only for the singer’s old fans, but also for all the good music lovers.
