At Your Inconvenience
Studio Album by Professor Green released in 2011At Your Inconvenience review
Professor Green is still in the spotlight
The English rapper Professor Green established a reputation of a talented artist in quite a short period of time. He won a lot of rap-battles, demonstrating his amazing freestyle skills, and due to these numerous performances he found a lot of faithful fans. An interesting manner of performing and the humor, of course, made Professor Green’s compositions really rememberable. Thereby, supported by fans, the rapper won a big contest JumpOff MySpace three years ago, and that important victory brought him not only a money prize, but also an amazing opportunity to work in the studio. Sure thing that Professor Green did not waste his chance, and his debut album titled Alive Till I'm Dead was presented in the year 2010. Curiously enough, it included elements of pop-music alongside with the hip-hop basis. However the volume of pop-elements was much smaller that the amount of hip-hop beats and recitatives. The album proved to be successful and it satisfied all the possible expectations of those listeners, who had already had an opportunity to get acquainted with the musician’s creativity. However within just a year Professor Green prepared a brand new material: the performer’s second studio attempt was titled At Your Inconvenience. Famous and big-name rappers will have to recognize the young artist’s authority, whether they want it or not.
At Your Inconvenience: an hour in the world of rhymes
The album At Your Inconvenience was recorded in a comparatively short period of time, but there are absolutely no reasons to assume that it will be worse or less interesting than its predecessor. Professor Green always works hard, and he literally puts his soul in his music – the listeners could make sure of it on Alive Till I'm Dead. This time the musician presented fifteen tracks with the total length of more then sixty minutes. The long play is opened by the title composition At Your Inconvenience, which creates the right mood and sets listeners for the right attitude: be ready to listen to the lyrics in a careful way, because they are of the highest importance, as soon as they bring the main meaning. You probably should not expect a hip-hop record to give serious musical fads, which are quite common for progressive rock, for example. But that does not mean that the musical essence of At Your Inconvenience will disappoint you, after all. On the contrary, the arrangements are done really fine, and Astronaut, Today I Cried and other songs got the individuality, and is not this the main thing? Moreover, Professor Green recorded many tracks with invited musicians, and this intrigues indeed. For example, Read All About It got an amazing vocal part, performed by Emeli Sande, while Avalon was created together with Sierra Kusterbeck.
Logical continuation of the debut work
Professor Green released another amazing album. His first long play proved to be successful, but At Your Inconvenience has got all the chances to become even a brighter work. The rapper remained faithful to his style and continued to perform high quality hip-hop, flavored by the great humor. Songs got melodiousness (thanks to elements of pop-music and beautiful vocal parts, preformed by invited musicians), and that is certainly a good point. Texts deserve some special attention, that is for sure: Professor Green’s emotions are true and fascinating. Thus, compositions of At Your Inconvenience included joys and sorrows, humor and serious issues. Such kind of a cocktail just could not be left ignored, after all. Many experts already enjoyed it, while music lovers enlarged their collections with a new excellent record. There is no doubt that At Your Inconvenience turned out to be a perfect and logical continuation of Professor Green’s debut work.
