Back in 2009 millions of viewers were observing the show The X Factor with a great interest. It was the program’s sixth season, and as it happened before, there were a lot of talented young artists, performing on the stage. Definitely one of the brightest representatives of these young musicians was Olly Murs, who managed to make the way to the very finals, where he lost only to the winner of the show - Joe McElderry. However that was the case, when participation proved to be more important than the victory itself. Well, Olly did not get the first prize, but he performed in a confident way and he surely made himself a name. It goes without saying that the young and truly promising singer just could not be left without attention from the representatives of sound recording companies. So, almost right after the end of The X Factor season Olly began working on his first self-titled album Olly Murs. Thereby his record saw the light in 2010 and it turned out to be interesting indeed: the singer’s fans’ expectation (and by that time Murs found his faithful fans) were completely satisfied. The charismatic artist again found himself in the spotlight, and again it was really well-deserved attention. Rememberable melodies, lyrics and excellent arrangements played their role: Olly Murs managed to find his place among many other young pop-performers. New hits on In Case You Didn't Know
Olly Murs started working on his second album at the very beginning of the summer, so the musician could present listeners some pieces of his new material by August. Thus, the first single form the album, Heart Skips a Beat, peaked at the first line in the chart. Another single from Olly’s new record, Dance with Me Tonight, saw the light only in November; however it demonstrated a great result as well: it got the second place in the chart. And that was the perfect way for Olly to increase music lovers’ interest to his upcoming album. So, In Case You Didn't Know is opened by the well-known to listeners energy-charged track Heart Skips a Beat, which is followed by a rhythmic dance composition Oh My Goodness. Traditionally Olly presented a high-quality mixture of dance motives and amazing vocals, so if you like dancing, then In Case You Didn't Know is definitely your choice. That record has a great many of major chords, while the general mood if absolutely positive. The song called Tell The World will please many lovers of reggae: the influence of the sunny genre is simply unquestionable and quite strong. And even the composition with such a sad title as I Don't Love You Too turned out to be in major. Well, this record seems to be a good example of positive emotions charge.
An outstanding addition to discography
So, Olly Murs remained faithful to his unique style: dance compositions, positive attitude and excellent lyrics with humor. Actually it is not a surprise that the musician appeared to be in the spotlight again. Charismatic Olly knows exactly how to make this or that song more interesting, how to emphasize some certain moments in the track. Long story short, there is no doubt that the artist has an intuition. It did not let him down on the debut album, and it is not going to let him down this time as well. Murs’ incredible debut allowed him to move forward in a confident way, and In Case You Didn't Know proved to be an excellent continuation of the musician’s first studio attempt. Olly found his style, while success in charts and recognition by listeners were good proofs of the fact that the singer is moving in the right direction. It is amazing, but among all his not less talented colleagues, Murs managed to find his own place in the sun and to show his worth. And we should remember that this is only a beginning of Olly’s career, so that is why we have all the chances to suppose that the artist will have a bright future.
