Christmas
Studio Album by Michael Buble released in 2011Christmas review
Michael Buble found his unique style a long time ago
Canadian singer Michael Buble totally differs from many other performers of pop-music. Chasing the new trends, they often seem to loose the main part of the creativity – sincere emotions and feelings, while Michael set up his top priorities a long time ago. He performs traditional pop-music and jazz, which unfortunately cannot be called the most popular genres nowadays. However that certainly does not mean that they are not called-for or that Buble has just a small number of listeners. The situation is absolutely different, as soon as the Canadian singer revives the interest for these amazing styles. His every single record is done oh the highest possible level, but anyways, there is hardly anybody who will question the quality of Michael’s studio attempts. The singer’s amazing voice and elaborated arrangements, which remind of Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett’s style found their listeners. But Buble does not copy the great artists; he found his own style, where he feels just fine and very comfortable. And he does not seem to be willing to change anything in his creativity. That is definitely a great point, because that kind of sincere and high class music is really a black swan nowadays.
Holiday attitude of the record Christmas
Indeed, the holiday time is coming, and some people have already started to get ready for them. Michael Buble can help anyone who wants to improve the mood and to feel and enjoy the atmosphere of Christmas and New Year. Well, the album Christmas is perfect for that, and actually it is very easy to guess just by its name: the title is quite explicatory. The long play’s first composition It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas creates the right mood: major chords, soft drum part and sort of fairy-taleish melodies immediately tell us about the holiday time. The following song is probably well-known for music lovers - Santa Claus Is Coming To Town has become a Christmas classics the way back. Due to Michael and his musicians the composition started to sound in a new fancy way. Can a Christmas album do without the famous Jingle Bells? No, absolutely no way! That song, familiar to many people from the childhood got the jazz adaptation and it really does sound amazing. However the long play included not only the cheerful songs. There is enough place for calm compositions as well, and the beautiful Ave Maria got the special place among them. All in all Michael Buble prepared a great number of songs, so it will not be very hard to find one that will fit the mood.
The modern classics of genre
Michael Buble is not chasing the fashion and he is not trying to adapt for numerous brand new trends. Well, that approach brings its results: the musician dedicated himself to the music, which he felt in love with when he was a little boy. Now Buble is a grown-up, but luckily he did not loose his love to jazz and traditional American Standard. Thus, the musician already presented a lot of outstanding albums to his listeners, and Christmas is definitely an excellent addition to the artist’s discography. The songs compilation and the very performance are perfect, as usual. Michael always does his best, just as a real professional should do. In that aspect the album Christmas is not an exception. There is no doubt that after listening to that atmospheric record the amazing mood is guaranteed!
