Good Morning To The Night review

Union of two hemispheres

One of the most successful, talented and influential musicians of the contemporaneity Elton John has been pleasing listeners with his creations for several decades already. While the Australian band Pnau started its career relatively recently: their debut studio attempt saw the light in 1999, however it managed to attract attention to the band in practically no time. The duo kept on writing new songs, which included both melodiousness and energy of electronic music, which helped them to enlarge the fan base. Thus, in 2007 Pnau released their self-titled album that brought them the world fame. Hardworking character was the resolving feature, and Pnau was talked about all around the world. Once the musicians had an idea to create a short album of sir Elton John’s songs remixes. The responsibility was huge indeed, as soon as maestro’s compositions are all of the highest quality, and that is why the duo had to be extremely careful with the mixing process in order to preserve the charm of these songs. Actually, at the moment Pnau began creating Good Morning To The Night, the members of the duo had quite an experience in the sphere of arrangement building and track mastering. They chose eight favorite songs by Elton John and started working on the long play. The final result excelled the most audacious expectations. Meet the renewed hits, gathered under the title Good Morning To The Night.

Good Morning To The Night will make you dance

If you enjoy the art of dancing, then Good Morning To The Night can be a treasure for you. The title track creates the right mood at once: ideal rhythm, rich and light sound in tandem with marvelous vocals will make you tap a rhythm. And this is just a beginning! This song is followed by the one called Sad, which is definitely major, even in spite of its title. It is life-asserting, in fact. Well, with every song it gets clearer that the Australian duo did a great and immense job. All these compositions’ charm did not disappear, to the great pleasure of sir John’s old fans. The number Black Icy Stare started to sound in a completely new way, but at the same time the trenchant beat tells to everyone that is it not possible to sit while such music is playing. Then comes a calmer track Foreign Fields, filled with a juicy bass by Pnau. Well, these low frequencies seem to fit incredibly well into the song’s mid tempo. A little bit of mysticism and fantasy will be brought by a calm composition Telegraph To The Afterlife which can boast with its spacey sound and wonderful atmosphere. And after all even the most fastidious skeptics will not be able to accuse Pnau in irresponsibility. Good Morning To The Night has got no average tracks – everything was worked out in an elaborated way, so all eight remixes have good chances to become great reference points for beginner musicians.

Dance mood

Good Morning To The Night, as it was planned, proved to be not very long, but charged with the huge amount of energy. It is a well-known fact that a good remix can give to an old song not just a new sound, but a new mood as well. There is no doubt that the Australians Pnau made a good job and got some good results. The choice of songs is successful as well: from the title track Good Morning To The Night and to the final chord of Sixty listeners will get beautiful melodies, written by maestro Elton John in the UK and remixed by a talented duo from the other side of the Earth. The entire collaboration proved to be outstanding, so its sound will please connoisseurs of dance electronic music for sure. A good plus is that the basis of all these brand new remixes is truly unquestionable: these songs are time-tested and they are simply fascinating. Thus, half an hour of Good Morning To The Night disappears so quickly, however there is a good point about it – the record can be played all over again for many times. If you appreciate Elton John’s music and enjoy rhythmic music, then Good Morning To The Night is definitely your choice. Pleasant surprises are guaranteed!
