Perfect Day
Studio Album by Cascada released in 2007Perfect Day review
Dance trio Cascada from Germany
Cascada was formed in 2004 in Germany. It consists of three members - charming soloist Natalie Horler and two disc jockeys and producers Yanou and Manian. In a year after the release of their second single Everytime We Touch the band became popular in the UK and the USA. During several weeks the members of Cascada finished the debut album, eponymous to the successful single, and shot a video for it. The promptness of the musicians benefited them - on the wave of Everytime We Touch's popularity, the public highly appreciated the rest three singles - Miracle, A Neverending Dream and a cover on Truly Madly Deeply by the celebrated Australian duo Savage Garden. The album itself was a true hit in the USA. In 2006, Cascada released a remix work Cascada: The Remix Album. In 2007, Natalie told in an interview that Cascada was working over the second disc. She did not make a secret out of the production. According to her words, the new edition was going to feature lacking so much on Everytime We Touch some ballads - apart from dancing things, and some pop-hits interpretations. The album itself was sure to be ready by the end of the year. The fascinating singer did not fail the expectations of the listeners, and the second studio work by Cascada called Perfect Day hit the shelves in the beginning of December.
Good dancing album Perfect Day
Cascada is a respectively young collective. Nonetheless, it has reached some success in the chosen musical genre. For this moment, this dance music command can boast of such awards as International Dance Music Awards, Napster Awards and World Music Awards. The fact that Cascada is not the only project for all the three members should be also considered. The first single from the album became dance-cover on the country composition What Hurts The Most by the other trio Rascal Flatts. The most striking thing in this work is the use of female vocals instead of that by the Rascal Flatts' frontman. The album also features an amusing remix on this song. The second single is What Do You Want From Me by Cascada. The most noticeable things on Perfect Day are Europop covers on mega-hits Sk8er Boy by Avril Lavigne and Just Like A Pill originally sung by Pink. Besides, Patti Smith's Because The Night also acquired a new life in a dancing arrangement. As for the songs by Cascada, full of energy Runaway and the titling Perfect Day are sure to fit any party. Two wonderful dance floor compositions Endless Summer and Who Do You Think You Are could be appreciated by European listeners in the performance of the Siria project, which consists of Horler and DJ Manian. Love ballad Could It Be You became a perfect decoration of the album.
Dance music is always timely
Some songs on Perfect Day pleasantly remind the dance collective E-Type by the arrangements. Though they are similar not only in the ectro-dance melody treatment, but also in a charge of energy that lightens their creativity. It is no secret that for a successful activity of the band, writing dance music, it is not enough to fallow the genre and have a cute soloist. It is vital that the tracks radiate happiness, the beat being catchy for the listeners. Cascada is perfect in it for sure. Moreover, this album is a good demonstration of the band's growth. Firstly, they worked over the second disc without a hurry and took into the consideration the balance of beats on Perfect Day - they included both up-tempo and slow things in the album, which made it more interesting and diverse comparing to the debut Everytime We Touch. Secondly, this time the vocalist put a hand in writing the material by Cascada. It helped the songs to get a deeper lyricism and sincerity - for example, such compositions as Who Do You Think You Are and Could It Be You. So, the band became big not only on the new wave of Euro-dance popularity, but due to the masterwork of its members. However, it should be noticed that dance music is always timely, especially such qualitative one like by Cascada.
