A talented author, producer and performer Bruno Mars
This may Bruno Mars’ EP It's Better If You Don't Understand was released and dew the audience’s attention at once, especially of the female part. The real name of the artist behind the pseudonym is Peter Hernandez, he is of Puerto-Rican and Philippine descent. The nugget was born in Hawaii into a musical family. He has been surrounded by reggae music, hip-hop and jazz since childhood for each of his family members, in every generation, plays some musical instrument. Mars moved to Los-Angeles soon after graduating from college to pursue his career. His flair for good music helped him become, first of all, a talented author and producer. Mars is in particular the co-writer of the world hits such as Right Round by Flo Rida and Nothin' on You by B.o.B. After the EP release and the success of the single The Other Side his debut studio album Doo-Wops & Hooligans is released this autumn. It is a collection of mesmerizingly pretty songs is meant for women in the first place, but guys will also find some tough jokes and appropriate themes on it.
Doo-Wops & Hooligans is the reflection of Bruno Mars’ two traits
The album Doo-Wops & Hooligans is the reflection of Bruno Mars’ two traits. One, probably, the prevailing one, is his love of the opposite sex. At his age of 25 it is quite a mature man who has studied female psychology as nobody else, which is why his lyrics are a desired gift for any girl. Bruno himself defines such a music genre as ‘doo-wop’ which stands for nice pop tunes and lyrics full of open-hearted confessions. What is meant for guys is called ‘Hooligans’ and presents Mars’ other side, the sum total of his manly qualities. On the very opener Grenade he leaves no chance for the girls to neglect him demonstrating his vulnerability, suffering from a breakup and willing to get everything back but understanding how unbending the girl is. The single Just The Way You Are is the world charts topper and an even more necessary recommendation to all women to remain themselves because that is perfection. A great video has been already shot for the song seeing which one can make sure how charming this young and handsome singer is. The third track and the third stage of charming process is the impossibly romantic composition Our First Time with a very beautiful tune and Mars’ sensual singing. Presents for guys appear on Runaway Baby – manly jokes, a slight sarcasm, but this is a no less contagious melody in combination with an amazing beat and an unrestrained electric guitar. In general, every track on the record is a combination of a danceable or an R&B beat and a successful melody which is made even more expressive with Mars’ praiseworthy vocals. Bob Marley’s son Damian joins Bruno on the track Liquor Store Blues, reminding of both the performers’ origin – their ‘native’ reggae style is sparkling with all the rainbow colors here. The album closes with the composition The Other Side featuring C-Lo Green and B.o.B; it had been released as the single off the EP and already conquered the audience at the end of spring.
Hitting the target
The main secret of Bruno Mars’ success is that he thinks in advance of a very clear image of his listeners of viewers. Peter Hernandez used to watch carefully Elvis Presley’s success story and it is from him that he has learned to put on a show. Of course his work in this respect is much finer because it is way much harder to surprise anybody nowadays. Nevertheless, the album Doo-Wops & Hooligans is made in such a way that even if it does not surprise it will surely please and make you smile and you will make it a part of your personal play-list after the very first listening to it. A true connoisseur of pop-music and most varied genres, growing up in a musical family, Mars definitely hits the target. His effortless singing and sincere emotions, vulnerability and honesty are what every girl is looking for, whereas his self-confidence, boldness and simplicity make him quite a typical guy his peers are very likely to understand and sympathize with. It is hard to say now whether he has arrived to stay or is going to be a one-album star but judging by his fertile creative work as a songwriter before the release of Doo-Wops & Hooligans we should probably prepare ourselves for more pleasant surprises to follow.
