Will Smith to host show for Nobel Prize winners

US actor and hip-hop artist Will Smith was announced to host this year’s Nobel Prize concert. Speaking about his plans, he promised to deliver «an awe-inspiring experience».

Nobel Prize winners will be announced on October 6. The awards ceremony is scheduled for December 10 – an anniversary of founder Alfred Nobel's death. The concert will take place in Oslo on December 11. It is set to feature Wyclef Jean and American R&B singer Donna Summer.

Previous Nobel Prize concerts featured performances by Mariah Carey, Kylie Minogue, Alicia Keys, Rihanna, Duran Duran and many others.

Will Smith’s music career features four albums. The last record, Lost And Found, was released in 2005.
