Whitney Houston's songs to be remade into musical

A play based on Whitney Houston's songs is set to be premiered in London this autumn. It will be a rework of The Bodyguard film – which featured Houston playing main role – into a musical.

The movie was telling the story of love between famous singer and her bodyguard. Although it received negative critics' reviews, it occupied the second place in the list of world's highest-grossing films of 1992.

Producers of the play already announced that the main role will be played by Grammy Award winning singer Heather Headley. They also claim that the production of the musical started last year and has no relationships to Whitney Houston's death.

Whitney Houston has been found dead in her hotel room at the Beverly Hilton on February 11. According to the official statement, she has taken a huge dose of drugs with an alcohol.
