Videogame raises the albums sales

Videogame Guitar Hero 3 raises the sales of the groups, whose tracks were included in it. To remind, Guitar Hero is played with a special guitar-shaped controller – players must press buttons at the proper time to «play» famous songs.

Various artists' songs were used in Guitar Hero 3, ranging from Metallica and Led Zeppelin to Sonic Youth, Slipknot, Beastie Boys, The Strokes and so on. Analitics have found that after Guitar Hero 3 was realesed, the sales of the groups it featured started to grow up.

The creators of Guitar Hero 3 also promised to add the track from another videogame, Halo 3, which became the top-selling game of the year in Europe and America.
