Velvet Revolver are not going to release their recordings with Slipknot singer
Jul 07, 2011Matt Sorum added that they have recorded enough songs to release an album. However, the band's founder and guitarist Slash has decided to put them on the shelf.
"We liked it. We had ten songs. We could put the album out tomorrow. It's done. I said: "Let's go". But Slash wasn't feeling it. If we're not all feeling it together, we can't do it", said he.
Slash has confirmed the reports that his band Velvet Revolver had worked together with Corey Taylor. At the same time, he said that this collaboration has resulted into nothing, because Corey "just wasn't right" for them.
"We did work with Corey, but all we were doing was trying him out. Our process is that we take a lot of music we wrote and give it to the guy we're auditioning, he writes his lyrics, we perform it, record it and see what it's like", said Slash.
Velvet Revolver original singer Scott Weiland has recorded two albums with the band – Contraband (2004) and Libertad (2007). He left in 2008 to reunite with Stone Temple Pilots.
