Vampire Weekend premiered new song

Vampire Weekend launched the website named ithinkuracontra.com yesterday. This address is similar to the title of their song I Think Ur A Contra, one of the tracks from the band’s upcoming album Contra.

Originally the website featured the countdown which has ended last night. Currently, it offers the opportunity to listen to the band’s track Horchata, another song from upcoming album.

Contra is set to be released next January. «It's definitely going to be a recognizably Vampire Weekend sound, but there are going to be new sounds. We tried to challenge ourselves not to use the same bag of tricks that we used on the first album – different instruments, stuff like that», said the band’s keyboardist Rostam Batmanglij about the record.
