U2 will release an album based on Spider-Man musical

U2 singer Bono and guitarist The Edge revealed that the band may release an album based on upcoming Broadway musical about Spider-Man. The band wrote lyrics and music for the production that is set to be premiered next February.

The Edge said: «It's hard to say about a U2 Spider-Man album. There will be a Spider-Man album, but whether it's us or the cast, that's the sort of thing we're not sure about».

Bono claimed that he would like to work on the album, but he did not know what other band’s members thought about it.

U2 have already released new album this year, No Line On The Horizon, and announced next record, Songs Of Ascent.
