U2 will not record an album of dance music

Famous DJ and electronic musician David Guetta revealed that U2 have given up an idea to make an album of dance music. David was set to work on the record together with The Black Eyed Peas' Will.I.Am and RedOne (who is known for his collaborations with Madonna and Lady GaGa).

Two weeks ago U2 announced that they have stopped recording with RedOne. According to David Guetta, the whole idea of a dancing album has fallen through.

"We actually met with Bono and we spoke about it. He announced it in some of his interviews so I started to announce it, too, because he spoke about it, and then we never spoke again. So it might happen one day, I would love to, but he kind of disappeared", revealed David Guetta.

U2 themselves are currently working on their next studio effort Songs Of Ascent. According to Bono, it is being recorded in collaboration with famous American musician and producer Danger Mouse.
