U2 will hold an open auditions for Spider-Man musical

U2 announced that everyone may take part in a series of open casting calls for the upcoming Spider-Man musical. Auditions will be held in a number of cities across USA, including Florida, New York and Los Angeles. According to U2, they are looking for «performers with dynamic rock/pop voices including those with experience in bands and as solo performers».

Musical will be produced by Julie Taymor, who previously worked on Broadway’s Across The Universe and The Lion King. The music and lyrics for the production were written by U2’s Bono and The Edge.

U2 have already released one album this year, titled No Line On The Horizon, and promised to finish next record Songs Of Ascent until 2010.
