U2 spoke about the recording of their new album. According to the guitarist The Edge, the band was working on it in-between legs of their 360 World Tour. Currently the tour is finished and U2 are going to concentrate on the recording.

Speaking about the album itself, The Edge said that it would be «really special»: «We are working on a lot of new songs. Some of them are really, really happy. We’re convinced that we have something really special».

He added: «We are experimenting with a lot of different arrangements, and electronic is one of the things we are playing with. But there are other songs that are very traditional, almost folk».

The band’s previous album No Line On The Horizon hit the stores in February 2009.

U2 have recently taken part in the Hope For Haiti charity concerts, which aimed to raise money for people who suffered from recent Haiti earthquake. Organized by actor George Clooney, series of gigs featured such artists as Madonna, Bruce Springsteen, Jay-Z, Coldplay and others.
