Tom Morello called himself Jane's Addiction fan
Jun 06, 2011Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello praised Jane's Addiction, calling himself a big fan of the band. He also named it the most influential act in rock music of the early 90's – even more influential, than Nirvana.
"Nirvana often gets credit for being the first alternative band to break through, the band that changed music. That's just not true. It was Jane's Addiction: inspiring, intelligent, furiously rocking and artistically deep", claimed Tom Morello.
Rage Against The Machine guitarist made this statement while introducing Jane's Addiction into the Guitar Center RockWalk in Hollywood on June 1.
Jane's Addiction are now working on their new studio effort The Great Escape Artist – it is set to hit the stores later this summer. Upcoming record will become fourth studio album by Jane's Addiction. Previous one, named Strays, hit the stores in 2003. It was followed by split-up in 2004, but the band reunited in 2008.
