Tickets for three Coldplay gigs sold within an hour

Sep 09, 2011
Tickets for three upcoming Coldplay gigs were completely sold out within less than an hour. The band is set to go on a short tour across UK this December, playing one show in Glasgow followed by two concerts in Manchester.

All tickets to these gigs were bought at one moment despite two-per-customer limit and earlier complaints for high prices (approximately $80).

Earlier Coldplay frontman Chris Martin revealed that he and his bandmates do not care about staying "relevant" any more. Singer explained it by pointing that there is no way to measure how popular they are – so there is no reason to worry about it.

Chris Martin said: "You can't take anything for granted any more. It doesn't matter if you used to be big or used to be famous, you've got to prove yourself all over again. We don't have any immediate touring plans. We've just got to wait and see if anyone is interested in listening to our album".

Coldplay are set to release new album Mylo Xyloto next month.
