Tickets for Sir Paul McCartney’s performance in Las Vegas were sold out within seven seconds. Former The Beatles’ member will perform at the Hard Rock Hotel Casino on April 16. The 4,000 tickets went on sale yesterday and, according to organizers’ words, they were bought at a rate of 600 per second.

There is no category in the Guinness Book of Records for the rate of ticket sales for a music performance. However, it is considered that the record belongs to Take That, who sold 600,000 tickets for the tour in support of their recent album Circus in four and a half hours.

Paul McCartney is also set to perform together with his former bandmate Ringo Starr at the charity concert in New York that is scheduled for April 4. Moby, Sheryl Crow and other famous artists will take part in this event.
