Thom Yorke will not join Peter Gabriel’s project

Peter Gabriel claimed that he could not contact Radiohead’s frontman Thom Yorke, who promised to record a cover on one of his songs. Gabriel has recently released an album Scratch My Back which features his own versions of songs by famous rock-musicians, such as David Bowie (Heroes), Arcade Fire (My Body Is A Cage) and Radiohead (Street Spirit). He also asked these artists to record covers on his songs.

Thom Yorke promised to rework Gabriel’s song Wallflower. But, according to Gabriel, Radiohead’s frontman did not respond for a long time.

Gabriel said: «Not everyone likes it and I've no real idea whether he likes it or hates it. We have a little clue, though. We gave out codes for the artists to listen to their songs on a stream and we could see how many times they've heard them. I think he's only streamed Street Spirit once, which isn't a good sign».

Radiohead are set to be working on the new album now. Their previous record In Rainbows hit the stores in 2007.
