The White Stripes will release new album next year

May 05, 2009
The White Stripes’ frontman Jack White revealed that the work on the band’s new album will start in autumn after he finishes the summer tour with his side-project The Dead Weather. White hopes that the record will hit the stores in 2010.

White also added that he was starting to feel tired of touring. «When it comes down to your health...It's hard; people don't really understand. They think you go up on stage and you're having a blast, like you're partying. That's not the case. It's hard work to go on tour», said he.

Jack White joined with The Kills' singer Alison Mosshart to launch new band named The Dead Weather in March 2009. The band also features musicians from White’s other band The Raconteurs and Queens Of The Stone Age.

The Dead Weather are going to release their first album Horehound this June. It will also feature a cover of Gary Numan's song Are Friends Electric? The first single from it, titled Hang You From The Heavens, was premiered on March 12.
