The White Stripes are releasing new album

The White Stripes announced the release of the band’s first ever live album – yet-untitled record is set to hot the stores on March 15. It will go on sale simultaneously with the documentary movie Under Great White Northern Lights. Shot by Emmett Malloy, the film tells about The White Stripes’ Canadian tour in 2007.

Live album will consist of recordings made during the same tour. All in all the album is set to include 16 tracks:

The White Stripes’ frontman Jack White recently announced plans to record his first solo album. According to the musician, he was going to start the work in the nearest future and finish it within a year.

Earlier Jack White claimed that he was going to spend winter working on The Dead Weather’s second album. The band’s first record, Horehound, was released in July 2009.
