Jack White claimed that he and Meg White are ready to start the work on the new The White Stripes’ album. They have not performed together since 2007, when the band had to cancel world tour due to Meg’s anxiety problems.

However, according to Jack White, Meg is done with her troubles and feels keen to enter the studio. Singer added that Meg accompanied him when he was recording new album with his side project The Dead Weather.

«She was there when we were rehearsing for The Dead Weather. She's still involved and everything, but we've never sat down and gone: «OK, so don't forget to block out three months». I have nothing planned after this month coming up, but I know that it all will be filled up really fast», said he.

The Dead Weather’s second album, named Sea Of Cowards, is set to hit the stores on May 10.

Last album by The White Stripes, titled Icky Thump, was released in 2007.
