The Strokes will release new album in March

Jan 01, 2011
The Strokes are set to release their fourth studio effort in March, according to the reports. This information was unveiled after release schedule from the band's record label, RCA, has leaked online.

Also, The Strokes' bassist Nikolai Fraiture earlier claimed that the band would like to release the record by March.

Neither RCA nor The Strokes made comments about these reports.

Earlier Nikolai Fraiture revealed that the sound of the yet-untitled record became a mix of The Strokes' two previous albums.

"Sonically, I feel it's the album which should have been made between 2003's Room On Fire and 2006's First Impressions Of Earth. It has our classic sound", claimed he.

He also said that The Strokes would headline Benicassim festival in Spain this year together with Arctic Monkeys.
