The Smashing Pumpkins frontman wants to be on Broadway

Dec 12, 2011
The Smashing Pumpkins singer Billy Corgan claimed that he would like to become an author of musicals for Broadway. At the same time, he admitted that his songs are not good enough for this, and that he would like to improve his skills.

"I want to be a better songwriter before I try Broadway and I wouldn't allow one of my old songs to be used. If I do Broadway, I'm not coming to write three-chord rock songs", claimed Billy Corgan.

The Smashing Pumpkins have recently postponed the release of their next studio effort Oceania. Originally scheduled to hit the stores in the end of this year, it is now set for early 2012.
