The Rolling Stones want to play anniversary gig

May 05, 2011
The Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards claimed that the band had plans to play special gig in London in 2012. It will mark 50 years since the band performed live for the first time – it also happened in the capital of Great Britain, on July 12 1962.

However, according to Keith Richards, there are only plans, and nothing can be said for sure at this moment. "The idea is there. We kind of know we should do it, but nobody's put their finger on the moment yet", claimed he.

Last week The Rolling Stones' frontman Mick Jagger has formed new band, reports US media. According to New York Post newspaper, it features Eurythmics' Dave Stewart, English soul singer Joss Stone and Damian Marley, son of legendary reggae singer Bob Marley.

New York Post reported that the band has already recorded a single and made music video for it.

The Rolling Stones' last to date album A Bigger Bang hit the stores in 2005.
