The Red Hot Chili Peppers feel sorry about John Frusciante's departure
Nov 11, 2011The Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea claimed that the band has lost its "magic" after guitarist John Frusciante left in 2009. Musician said that former Warpaint man Josh Klinghoffer – who replaced Frusciante – is a good player too, but he can not create "cosmic perfect groove" with him.
Flea said: "John and I had established such a language together – if I started playing bass with John, he'd make awesome grooves that we didn't need to talk about or think about".
"With Josh, we'd start playing something and I'd be like: "OK, when is he going to do that magic thing where we create the cosmic perfect groove?" and he just wouldn't do it", added he.
Earlier The Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman Anthony Kiedis has spoken about the departure of the band's guitarist John Frusciante, who has left in 2009. According to his words, it "felt good" because they were sure it will be better for both sides.
Kiedis added that Josh Klinghoffer contributed much to the band's last album I'm With You.
