The Prodigy named the best dance act ever

Special poll by Angel Music Group praised The Prodigy as the most influential dance act of all time. Keith Flint and his bandmates received 29% of the votes in a survey that featured over 2000 people in UK.

The second place was given to French electronic duo Daft Punk with 13%, Faithless became third with 11%. The Top-5 also featured New Order (9%) and Orbital (7%).

James Algate, organizer of GlobalGathering dance music festival, said: "Dance music is constantly evolving but it's great to see The Prodigy getting the recognition they so richly deserve".

The Prodigy formed in 1990 and quickly achieved mainstream popularity, selling 20 million albums worldwide to this moment. The list of their most famous songs includes such hits as Smack My Bitch Up, Voodoo People, Firestarter, Omen, Warrior's Dance and many more.
