The Mars Volta to release new album in March

The Mars Volta guitarist Omar Rodriguez-Lopez revealed release information about the band's next studio effort. Titled Noctourniquet, it will hit the stores in the end of March. According to musician, the record will mark the significant change in songwriting style of the band.

"I want to collaborate more. I've had 10 years of kind of being a benign dictator in this band and I want to make it more like a democracy", said he.

Earlier The Mars Volta singer Cedric Bixler-Zavala revealed that one of the songs from new album, titled Zed And Two Naughts, will be featured in upcoming baseball videogame MLB 12 The Show.

The Mars Volta released their last album Octahedron in 2011.
