The Kooks are working on a new record

The Kooks revealed that they have started the work on their third studio album. The band is going to record some new songs before going on tour this summer.

The Kooks’ frontman Luke Pritchard said: «We kind of barricaded ourselves in the countryside for a few weeks - stayed at some friend's who have a cottage in Norfolk. We've just been rehearsing and writing new stuff».

«I feel really fresh about the band - I guess generally we're still just such friends», said he.

The Kooks’ debut album Inside In/Inside Out was released in 2006 and sold 2 million copies. However, the band’s second record, 2008’s album Konk, was not so successful.
