The Killers' drummer to release solo album in July

The Killers' drummer Ronnie Vannucci revealed some new details about his upcoming solo album. Titled Big Talk, the record is set to hit the stores in July. It will be preceded by the single Getaways, scheduled to come out in May.

Big Talk was produced by Alan Moulder, who is known for his work with The Smashing Pumpkins, Foo Fighters, Depeche Mode and other famous bands.

Explaining the decision to make a solo record, Ronnie Vannucci said: "I needed to do this, it's such a departure from what I'm used to, but now, having done it, it feels like the right thing to do. It all feels very natural. I can't sit on a couch very long".

Earlier Ronnie Vanucci claimed that he and his bandmates would like to reunite despite all of them were busy with their own projects. According to his words, they are ready to make another studio effort.

In December 2009 Brandon Flowers said that rumors about him starting solo career were not true. However, later The Killers announced that their concert in Melbourne on February 21 were the band's last performance in the near future. According to the official statement, musicians decided to went on "indefinite hiatus" because they wanted to "take a rest from being a band".
