The Killers do not like Nirvana
Jun 06, 2012The Killers' frontman Brandon Flowers claimed that it has been Nirvana's and Kurt Cobain's fault that rock-music was associated with negative emotions. Unless the band's records Bleach, Nevermind and In Utero were released more than fifteen years ago, Flowers lambasted Cobain.
"I don't mean it in a bad way but I think Kurt Cobain and grunge took the fun out of rock and rol", said he, adding that The Killers' music was far more "playful and brighter".
Recently The Killers revealed some new details concerning their next studio effort. The record is set to hit the stores in September and feature such tracks as Heart Of A Girl, Flesh And Bone, Carry Me Home and Runaways. It will be named Battle Born.
Talking about the title of the album, The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers said: "In a sense, all Americans are battle born. Our ancestors came here for something better".
