The Flaming Lips’ frontman asked Justin Timberlake to act in his new movie

Wayne Coyne, film director and frontman of American rock band The Flaming Lips, revealed that he was going to begin the work on the new movie. It will be a sequel to his 2008’s effort Christmas On Mars. Original movie was a science fiction film telling about the first celebrating of Christmas on a recently colonized Mars.

As well as the first episode, the sequel is set to feature The Flaming Lips’ members as actors. At the same time, Wayne Coyne claimed that he wanted Justin Timberlake for the main role.

«I’m gonna try to get real actors, too, celebrities to show up and have fun with us for a couple of nights. I’m in the process of begging Justin Timberlake to be part of it; if I’m lucky I’ll be able to wear him down in another year», claimed he.

It was not announced when the movie would be done. The Flaming Lips are set to tour North America and Britain this summer in support of their recently released The Dark Side Of The Moon album. The record is a track-by-track cover of Pink Floyd's famous album of the same name.
