The Enemy recorded "upbeat" album
Apr 04, 2012The Enemy bassist Andy Hopkins revealed some details about the band's third studio effort Streets In The Sky. Hopkins described it as an "upbeat" album, adding that its sound is closer to their debut record We'll Live And Die In These Towns that to their second disk Music For The People.
"With the second album, the overall sound was too big for a three-piece band. We've gone back to sounding more like the first album; it's more upbeat, with more catchy choruses", said he.
Speaking about Streets In The Sky, The Enemy frontman Tom Clarke claimed : "I'm more proud of it than any album we've ever made. It sounds massive and the songs are some of the best we've written. I can't wait to see what the public make of it. The album is the result of more than a year's hard work from lots and lots of people".
Tom Clarke revealed that they have planned to release an album only next year, but then decided to start the recording earlier.
