The Darkness have nearly finished new album

Dec 12, 2011
Justin Hawkins – singer of British rock band The Darkness – claimed that he and his bandmates have nearly finished their comeback album, the first one since 2005. According to his words, they are pleased with the material they have recorded and the effort is set to hit the stores in spring.

"We've got nine of the required songs done, all finished, all sounding shining and good. We've got about two weeks of recording in January, and bits of it are already going off to be mixed even as we speak, so it's kind of nearly finished now", claimed he.

The Darkness rose to fame after the release of their debut album Permission To Land (2003) and its follow-up One Way Ticket To Hell… And Back (2005). However, the band went on indefinite hiatus since that time and did not release any new material.
