The Cribs’ frontman confirmed he would work on The Big Bang movie

Johnny Marr, former The Smiths’ guitarist and current The Cribs’ frontman, confirmed earlier reports that he would work on The Big Bang movie. Musician will write the soundtrack for the film which features Antonio Banderas and US rapper Snoop Dogg.

The movie tells about private detective hired to find an ex-stripper. It is being filmed by Tony Krantz, who earlier directed such films as Sublime and Otis. The Big Bang is set to be premiered early next year.

The Cribs’ last album Ignore The Ignorant hit the stores in September 2009.
