The Black Eyed Peas will not perform at Michael Jackson tribute show

Oct 10, 2011
The Black Eyed Peas have canceled their performance at the upcoming Michael Jackson tribute show. In their official statement the band's members apologized to the fans and said that their decision has been caused by "unavoidable circumstances".

Announcement by concert organizers says: "It is with regret that we announce the removal of Black Eyed Peas from the Michael Forever bill, but we look forward to a great night with other earth shattering artists".

The show is set to take place on October 8 at Millennium Stadium in Cardiff. The event will feature performances by Leona Lewis, Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Smokey Robinson, Craig David and others.

The concert is followed by a series of hitches since it was announced. Some of Michael Jackson's fans are standing against it, describing the show as ill-timed. They even formed a group named Fans Against Forever Michael Tribute, supported by some of the singer's relatives.

Also, KISS – who were originally set to perform at the show – have later pulled out of the event due to the conflict with organizers.
