Jul 07, 2010The closest numbers since then were shown by AC/DC's Black Ice (784,000 units) and Eminem's Recovery (741,000 units). However, different specialists say that Taylor Swift can beat them and reach 1 million-line.
Will Botwin, president of ATO Records, said: «Taylor Swift has the sales base and heat from the last few albums. And with all the amazing things she has going on, she is as likely as anybody to reach a million units, especially with the efforts of Universal behind her».
Last week Taylor Swift claimed that Speak Now would be a concept record telling about different people she met on her way to the world scene.
Singer said that each song on the album would be devoted to real person: «In life you have a lot of situations that pop up and people come into your life and sometimes you don't get to tell them what you wish you would have told them. This album is my opportunity to do that. Track by track, each song is a different confession to a different person».
Taylor Swift quickly rose to fame during last two years. With her eponymous debut album (2006) and second studio effort Fearless (2008), she became the top-selling artist in the US in 2008, and the second one in 2009, next to late Michael Jackson.
