Take That beat Coldplay record
Dec 12, 2008Take That’s new album The Circus was sold 132,985 copies in UK on the first day it hit the stores. This is new record. Previously, the biggest first day sale of the year belonged to Coldplay and their album Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends.
The second place in this week’s sales chart is occupied by The Killers' Day & Age, and the third belongs to Britney Spears and her new record Circus. Chinese Democracy by Guns N' Roses dropped out of the top five.
The Circus is Take That’s second album after the band’s reunion in 2005. Previous album, titled Beautiful World, was released in 2006.
