System Of A Down may record another album

System Of A Down drummer John Dolmayan revealed that the band has plans to record new studio effort. However, it does not apply for the near future – the work will not begin until 2013.

John Dolmayan said: "For the people who are waiting for an album – I know there's a lot of people waiting for an album; I'm waiting for an album just like they are. It's going to happen when it's right and when we can make something that tops what we've done in the past".

Last month System Of A Down claimed that they have recorded song Total Paranoia for the soundtrack of Batman: Arkham City videogame. The list of artist who also contributed to it features Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, The Duke Spirit, The Raveonettes, (Crosses) – side project by Deftones' singer Chino Moreno's – and several other bands.
