Susan Boyle revealed that her second studio album will feature a cover on Lou Reed's song Perfect Day. Earlier this month rumors claimed that Reed has banned singer both from recording this song and performing it at the American Idol. However, later ex-The Velvet Underground frontman denied these reports.

Titled The Gift, new Susan Boyle's studio effort will also feature covers on Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah, Don't Dream It's Over by Crowded House and religious Christmas carol Away In A Manager. "I wanted a mix of songs that would flow with all our moods this holiday season", said Susan Boyle about her album.

The Gift is set to hit the stores on November 9. Perfect Day will be released as the first single.

Susan Boyle's debut studio effort I Dreamed A Dream was named the best-selling debut album of all time by a female singer in USA. The record was sold 700,000 copies in its first seven days.

Susan Boyle came to international public attention this spring after performing song I Dreamed A Dream at the Britain's Got Talent TV show. Although not a professional singer, she quickly became known for her powerful voice.
