Sonic Youth to release best hits compilation

Sonic Youth announced plans to release best hits compilation. Titled Hits Are For Squares, it is set to hit the stores in the end of October. Track list for the album was compiled by other famous rock musicians.

The list of artists who have chosen songs for the album features Beck (who voted for Sugar Kane), The Red Hot Chili Peppers (Rain On Tin), Radiohead (Kool Thing), The Flaming Lips (Expressway To Your Skull) and others.

The album will also feature entirely new song Slow Revolution.

The documentary movie about the band, titled 1991: The Year Punk Broke, will be released alongside the album.
