Sigur Ros will record soundtrack for the mermaid movie

Sigur Ros keyboardist Kjartan Sveinsson will write a soundtrack for the upcoming movie titled Ondine. This film, directed by Neil Jordan and starring Colin Farrell, tells the story about fisherman who finds a woman in his net and believes she is a mermaid.

The movie will also feature several Sigur Ros’ songs. It is scheduled be released this year.

Sigur Ros last record Med Sud I Eyrum Vid Spilum Endalaust hit the stores in 2008. They also released compilation album We Play Endlessly this year.
