Sigur Ros to release new album in May

Sigur Ros revealed details about their next studio effort. Titled Valtari, the album is set to hit the stores in May. It will feature seven songs, which, according to Sigur Ros frontman Jon Birgisson, reflect "the band's whole experience from previous years".

Valtari will become Sigur Ros first album since Med Sud I Eyrum Vid Spilum Endalaust that was recorded in 2008.

Jon Birgisson added that they are not sure if they will release any singles before Valtari hit the stores.
